Focus and Scope

Journal of Health Science and Medical Research (JHSMR) offers an interdisciplinary forum for basic or applied medical and health sciences research, evidence-based and scientifically written articles; including, original articles, review articles, case reports and selected editorials. Our content focuses on, but not limited to these areas of medicine and health science;

  - Clinical medicine 
  - Biomedical science and biomedical engineering
  - Public health research
  - Data science in medicine and health care

Peer Review Process

After submission, manuscripts are first reviewed by a journal manager and an editor-in-chief. All manuscripts are screened using the ‘Turnitin’ (please see the details of plagiarism on the Publication Ethicts page). Manuscripts with incorrect formatting or unacceptable language or style will be returned to authors for correction before transmission to the Editor-in-Chief.  JHSMR used the double-blinded process for reviewer selections.  JHSMR will list at least 3 potential reviewers, including name and contact information. The careful selection of relevant experts as reviewers will facilitate and speed up the review process. JHSMR do not list reviewers from within our institution, and, especially for international authors, avoid only local reviewers.  Acceptable manuscripts will be examined by the editor-in-chief and either accepted without review, rejected without review, or assigned to a section editor.

Open Access Policy

Copyright on any article of JHSMR is retained by JHSMR. JHSMR provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)

Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.

NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.

No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
